IPIB, as many start-ups in Taiwan, originates from some of our friends' stories. After graduation from university, a friend of ours began his grueling job-searching process, which was not what he envisaged initially. When we learnt of this by accident during a gathering, we decided to help him in his job search.

We brainstormed on how to help our friend secure an interview that will eventually lead to successful permanent employment. During our long and persistent studies, we realized that the content of résumés was the key to gaining an interview, and having proper interview concepts and skills was the core to a successful job search.
Thus, we banded together and tapped our strengths e.g. language, marketing, writing, psychology, aesthetics, and consulting to redesign his résumé, incorporating our own unique professional knowledge to make his résumé more professional and easy to read.

Luckily, with our help, he got the job he loved.

Through the above experience, we discovered that people in Taiwan were not familiar with the concepts of a professional résumé, interview, and personal branding, lagging behind other developed countries.

To stay abreast of this employment- and personal branding-related information, we apply for the membership of PARWCC in the US, and successfully earn all certificates, CPRW (Certified Professional Résumé Writer), CEIP (Certified Employment Interview Professional), CPCC (Certified Professional Career Coach), three respectable accreditations in the résumé industry.

After earning the certificates, we received an invitation from International Community Radio Taipei (ICRT) in 2012. ICRT is Taiwan's most renowned English radio station, and we had the privilege to share important concepts about professional résumé and interview, which resonated well with the listening audience, judging from the positive feedback.

Thanks to this, we are always kept up-to-date with the latest best practices, concepts, and information. We also observe Taiwan's and Asia's employment trends and regularly release our ideas on IPIB's Blog and Facebook to keep people in the Chinese-speaking world informed with the latest information.

With a marketing and consulting background, Hank had previously worked in several diversified multinational companies headquartered in Germany, the US, and Japan. He served as a product manager of The 10 Most Innovative Consumer Product in 2011 named by Fast Company Magazine. A guest speaker at ICRT, he often shares his experience on creating a professional résumé, interview coaching and job search processes. He is the first Taiwanese to achieve CPRW, CEIP, and CPCC, and is mainly in charge of clients' personal branding strategies and interview coaching.
A professional with a major in Law, Johnson worked in the Central Government and was responsible for reviewing both domestic and overseas contracts, strategy alliance, and intellectual-property-related issues. His passion and professional experience has equipped him with an excellent command of Mandarin (both written and spoken). He is mainly in charge of our clients' Mandarin résumés and doubles as our Social Media Manager as well.
A professional in Business Administration, Edna has lived overseas for over 13 years, TOEIC975 and served as a foreign receptionist appointed by foreign guests and a sales manager in Top 100 electronic companies. She is skilled at incorporating clients' unique value proposition into plain and precise English to raise clients' possibility of gaining an interview. She is responsible for our clients' English résumés and cover letters.
